Reflecting on Your Day: Finding Serenity Amidst Connections
Hello, beloved, it's MarQuita. Come in, come in, come in. So, how has the day gone? Are you preparing to enter into a new day? Or are you settling in at the end of the day? Take stock of what has been. Then where are the places today that you got it all right? Give yourself a high five. Good, good, good for you. Where are those places that you gave it your best effort? Absolutely. High five, high five. Yay you, yay you.
There were some spaces where you almost missed it. I understand. I understand. And there will be days like this. So what did you learn? What did you learn about yourself today? What did you learn about your folks, people, friends, family, and tribe? What did you learn? Did you spend any time today with people that you love? How did it feel? If you did, how was it? And if you didn't, what did that absence feel like?
Beloved, there will be times when you miss the connectivity with persons that you love. Persons who may not live right next door or in the same state. They may live across the country from you. And technology has advanced so much that they are as close as your next video call. Call them. Just pick up the phone and call them and let them know that you're thinking about them and that they are on your mind.
Did you spend time today with people who vexed you? People who are like sandpaper in a way, they rub you the wrong way. If you did, how was that? How did you come through? And what's your plan going forward? How will you be together to accomplish whatever the goal, whatever the outcomes that are desired? How will you do it? And notice, I'm not asking will you, because I know that you will. But create a plan and a strategy. Decide how you will be in this world.
Will you be quick-tempered? Will you be slow to anger? Will you be always ready for reconciliation? reconciliation, will you be one who will listen and seek understanding? Or if it's not your way, it must be the highway. There can be much to consider, and much to think about at the beginning or at the end of your day. So, lightly and easily, take it all lightly, take it all easy, as you settle in, knowing that on the other side of your contemplation, serenity is waiting.
