Embrace Serenity: A Nighttime Ritual for Deep Rest
Hello, beloved, it's MarQuita, wanting to just give you a little exercise for tonight. When was the last time you really put yourself to bed?
I mean, have a wonderful meal, take a warm bath or warm shower, a midnight snack maybe. Set your phone or your devices to read you a short story, no longer than 10 minutes. Have no sound or listen to sounds from outside your window. Have your device play ocean sounds or forest river or forest creeks and brooks babbling. Something that puts your soul at ease.
And then give thanks for the day, for the people in the day, for all that you've seen and all that you have enjoyed, all you've experienced, and all of your hopes for tomorrow. Say them out loud. Speak them out loud into the atmosphere, and then climb in under the covers. Get nice and toasty. If you need a little breeze, crack your window, turn on a fan, and allow yourself to peacefully, fully, deeply drift off to sleep, and you will find in the restfulness of that sleep that serenity is always waiting.
